"Flying Nine (Dara)" is the first track to be released from the upcoming compilation LP, and first ever public release of John Zieman's music, "New York City 1980-1984". The track, featured in Dara Birnbaum's video piece "Damnation of Faust: Evocation", from 1983, was recorded in 1980 at Manhattan's now-defunct Intergalactic Studios, where John engineered and recorded his own compositions in the after hours. "New York City 1980-1984" is due in the fall.

Accompanying the release of "Flying Nine (Dara)" is a remix by Rio de Janeiro's enfant-terrible-turned-pagan-architect Gabriel Guerra aka Repetentes 2008, produced in 2020.

"Flying Nine (Dara)" é a primeira faixa a ser lançada da compilação "New York City 1980-1984", primeiro lançamento público da música de John Zieman. Parte da trilha sonora do vídeo da artista Dara Birnbaum, "Damnation of Faust: Evocation", de 1983, a faixa foi gravada em 1980 no agora extinto Intergalactic Studios de Manhattan, onde John trabalhava como engenheiro de som e gravava suas composições no pós-expediente.
